Discover Florence's towers and fortresses

Good news: This summer many of Florence’s tower gates and fortresses have reopened for visitors. A great way to discover the history of the city’s defensive structures while enjoying a breath-taking view of Florence.

One of these is the Torre di San Niccolò open daily 5-8pm with visits held every 30 mins in Italian, English and French.

Access includes a guided tour. Others include the Forte Belvedere, Fortezza da Basso and Baluardo di San Giorgio.
